SeaCom Digitale Mess- und Übertragungssysteme GmbH is a young, growing company of the VULKAN Group. SeaCom has been developing, producing and distributing innovative Condition Monitoring Systems for applications in the field of wind power generation, ship propulsion technology and industrial system technology since 1996.

MDSWind®

MDSWind® is a certified condition monitoring system that is already being successfully used in more than 100 systems. MDSWind® records wind power plant drive train body oscillations and diagnoses their condition. Any anomaly thus determined is automatically reported and archived in an alarm database for breakdown research purposes. The use of MDSWind® increases plant availability and makes condition orientated maintenance possible.

MDSShip®

With the MDS Ship® field service engineers can check the actual load profile of the ship’s propulsion system in every driving condition.

  • detection of abnormal operating condition
  • detection of sporadically load peaks
  • general information about the system behaviour

Based on the theoretical torsional vibration calculation various characteristic orders can be defined which can lead as indicator for changes in the system behaviour.

VibRePorter®

For reliable vibration monitoring of mechanical components in rotating machinery, SeaCom offers the VibRePorter®, an intelligent and cost-effective vibration monitor for permanent measurement of vibrations and other parameters such as revolution speed, temperature and power. The VibRePorter® guarantees early damage detection and helps to avoid unexpected system downtime.
With the VibRePorter® it is possible to combine the various monitored parameters to formulate precise alarm conditions. With the algorithms used, components with variable speeds can be monitored. The VibRePorter® is also able to monitor slow rotating machines of up to 20 rpm.
